Avoiding False Alarms
- Your Protectron security system will notify you when the control panel battery is getting low. This battery should be replaced every 4 to 5 years. You can obtain replacement batteries directly from Protectron.
- We recommend that you have your system inspected once a year.
- Motion detectors should be placed away from items that could set off a false alarm (i.e. ventilation systems, fireplaces or any objects that could easily blow around like curtains, balloons or loose papers).
- All users must know how to operate the system.
- If you make any changes that could effect or impede the operation of your alarm system (i.e., if you get a pet, have work done on your phone line or coaxial cable, have renovations done, add a new user, or even move furiture around) please advise us first.
